It's sort of funny. What with eating healthy, I have to actually work to make sure that the number of calories I take in match what I feel I need. I.e I don't like going under 1800 (preferred range is 2000-2200, though up to 2500 is a-okay), and I'll eat /anything/ if my combined calories of the day is less than 1500. But at the same time I keep an eye on my nutrients and the bad stuff, i.e salt, sugar and saturated fat.
In some perverse way I enjoy struggling out the math, it's like I add a nifty little complex puzzle to my day. o.O
Freak! FREEEEEEAK! *cough*
Today's recommended food: flax seed! Aka linseed, they're a great source of omega 3 and 6 and help fight cholesterol as well as bad fats. And they're tasty, too. Just make sure you get them either pre-ground, or that you chew them carefully 'cuz otherwise the slippery little bastiches just go through your system untouched. They can also be used as a substitute for eggwhites, I've been told. They certainly make for a glue-esque substance if I leave some uneaten in my cereal too long.
What kind of exercising do you guys do, by the way? I'm still sort of shy about working out 'in public', so I mostly get my heart pounding by household and/or garden stuff. Especially gardening. Those weeds have some mighty pesky roots, so it's rather like rope pulling. :D
I found an interesting article whilst Google surfing, by the way. It's always nice when people point out just how artificial those model photos really are!

I have a membership at my local Curves. It's nice because "real" women work out there. It's not filled with "beautiful" people, just real women like me, who have pounds to lose. 30 minute work out, no waiting in lines for equipment. It's awsome!

I do Kung Fu, and once my ankle heals back up and I can walk again, I'll be going back to Kung Fu, although I think I'll be switching my school to a Wing Chun school closer to my house.

I also like to dance. Hell, I actually loooooove to dance. I put the trance electronica on and go to town. If I can go out with my friend Darren, we dance like maniacs the whole time we're at the bar.

I also do some halfassed weight/resistance training when I'm sitting around at home since I get so bored just doing nothing. I grab this bag of books I have and put it on my leg, or my arm or whatever, and move the weight around. Also, I've been known to throw some pushups and situps into the mix. Work is also a little bit physical sometimes. But not often.
